Level 8 Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: LVEL) today announced the appointment of Dr. Jon Anton, to its Board of Directors.

Widely credited with originating the term “Customer Relationship Management” (CRM), Anton is a globally-recognized, leading authority in the industry and has assisted over 400 leading companies, across more than 25 key market sectors in improving their CRM and customer service strategy/delivery. Anton is currently the director of benchmark research at Purdue University’s Center for Customer-Driven Quality, and principal researcher for the school’s Call Center Benchmark Research.

Level 8 says Anton’s reputation for achieving “world-class business performance” and “bottom-line results” led him to investigate Cicero at a leading financial services firm. He was struck by the capabilities of Cicero and its capacity to realize his vision of the future CRM-driven virtual contact center, the company says. That realization led him to accept the invitation to join with Level 8 as a member of the Board of Directors to shape the future of the Cicero product.
