RTS Education, a division of Research Triangle Software, will offer classes with a concentration in e-commerce and how that concept can be used to augment a company’s model and current business practices, according to the company.

Formal classes will be held at various locations around the U.S., according to the release, although no specific sites have been named. Classes will include the study of topics such as businesses messaging, XML and interoperability, knowledge management and data transformation, among others.

In the release R.T. Crowley, senior vice president of RTS Education, says: “The approach makes good business sense. The technology often takes over in electronic commerce and we forget the fact we are really trying to do business.”

Upon finalization of their curriculum students will receive a certificate of completion for each series of courses they complete, and continuing education credits also are available via partnerships with educational organizations, the company says.

Jeff LeRose, who ran Research Triangle Commerce, is head of RTS.
