Michelle Hunt, director of strategic marketing for Cropsolution, had good news to announce at the CED’s Venture 2002 showcase Wednesday.
Hunt told the crowd Cropsolution had closed on a $6.4 Series A round of funding.
Aurora Funds is the lead investor. Also participating are Research triangle Ventures, Atlantis Group, and Charlotte Angel Partners as well as ATP Capital out of New York.
Local Tech Wire reported on March 27 that Cropsolution would close on a $5.7 million round.
Founded a year ago, Crop Solutions has licensed the agricultural use of a chemical discovery technology from Denver, Colorado firm Invenux.
