Linux Labs is offering a new Web browser to wireless Palm PDA users.

Linux’s “Vagabond” and its product line use an OpenMobility Open Source style license for both client and server that the company says permits users to run their own CGI gateway instead of remaining dependent on another company, while preventing a single point of failure.

Linux Labs, founded in Atlanta in 1995, said the new browser is extremely fast, has many new features and is available for beta download:

Some of Vagabond’s features include color support, HTML, WAP, cookies, bookmark editing and exporting, hot-search, browser emulation mode and an advanced toolbar and history.
