CoaxMedia, Inc., a developer of technology that uses existing cable television wiring systems to simultaneously connect several Internet users to the same high-speed connection, released its Series 6000 System today.

The company’s solution allows Internet connections to operate on non-broadcast frequencies using existing cable.

Cumming-based CoaxMedia has been operating under the radar screen since it was founded in April 1999, and company officials are treating this as a coming out party of sorts. CoaxMedia got off the ground with an undisclosed investment from a syndicate that includes Cox Communications, ESP, and Netlanta, to name a few.
