Zift Solutions, an emerging entrepreneurial company based in RTP, is merging with Relayware in a deal that provides customers with what the companies call “end-to-end enterprise channel management technology.”

The CEO of Zift becomes president of the combined firm, which will operate as Zift.

Terms of the merger, which was announced Wednesday, were not disclosed.

Just two years ago, Zift raised $14 million in venture capital. The firm also recently moved to a new headquarters in Cary and last year beefed up its management team with two executive hires.

“As a combined entity, Zift and Relayware have the end-to-end Enterprise Channel Management technology, services and strategic insight modern B2B organizations require to simplify channel management and maximize profitability from their entire channel ecosystem,” said Ken Romley, the CEO of Zift before the merger.

Zift focuses on channel-as-a-service provider. Relayware’s focus is partner relationship management.

“Together, the two proven industry leaders will deliver comprehensive Enterprise Channel Management technology and services via Zift’s Channel as a Service platform,” the companies explained.

“Enterprise Channel Management is the natural evolution of channel technology and, with our combined resources, integrated technology and thought leadership, we are dramatically changing the face of channel technology and how it’s delivered through Channel as a Service,” said Gordon Rapkin, the CEO of Relayware who will lead the combined firm.

The firms describe channel-as-service as a “platform that aligns and integrates critical solutions for channel sales, marketing and operations.”
