InMotion Now already has a high-profile customer list, including the Los Angeles Dodgers and Pep Boys. Now, it’s aiming for more, planning to boost product development, customer support and hiring after closing on $3.1 million in new financing.

The company focuses on creative production management, offering an online proofing and workflow solution.

InMotion says it can shorten project development timelines, increase project request accuracy and speed up approval times.

Eastside Partners in Atlanta was lead investor for the round. The deal was announced Thursday. Other backers include Madison River Ventures and Naples Management & Investment Company.

DuPont, the Dodgers, NASDAQ, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Habitat for Humanity, and Pep Boys are among the firms already using InMotion software to link production among marketing and creative teams.

“We look forward to this exciting new chapter in inMotionNow’s history,” said InMotionNow CEO Ben Hartmere in announcing the funding.

“We’ve grown more than 14 [times] over the past several years helping marketing and creative teams get higher quality content out to market faster.  This growth capital allows us to further ramp our sales and marketing efforts to keep pace with the increasing demand for our products and services.

“Additionally, we will invest significant resources into the continued development of InMotion to maintain a market leader position within the creative production management space.  We are very excited to be working with Eastside Partners to continue to deliver value for our clients.”

The company changed its name from Proof-It-Online in 2012.

It recently launched a new version of its service called Review + Approval.

“As the demands on internal marketing teams grow, these groups are increasingly investing in solutions that improve their creative production management processes,” said Ramsay Battin of Eastside Partners, who joins the InMotion Now board as part of the deal.

“InMotionNow is delivering a robust, user-friendly solution that combines creative request management, project management, review and approval, and reporting that help creative teams increase productivity while reducing costs.”
