Windsor Circle, the Durham startup whose CEO (Matt Williamson) loves to wear green pants along with his team as a marketing and team-building ploy, has plenty more “green” around.

The company has raised new venture funding.

In a securities filing, Windsor Circle disclosed that it had raised $4.1 million earlier this month.

The company sold all the equity available in the offering with 15 investors taking part.

Minimum investment was $5,000.

Windsor Circle raised an oversubscribed $5 million round in September 2014.

Local backers include IDEA Fund Ventures and Triangle Angel Partners.

Windsor Circle won Google’s Demo Day in 2014 and landed AOL Founder Steve Case as an investor then went on to raise $5.25 million soon after.

“The modern marketer needs both data science and automation in order to personalize content and delight the consumer. We are constantly working to improve and augment our retention marketing technology and software in order to help retailers keep their customers” said Williamson at the time. “This new funding both validates and enables our vision.”

Windsor Circle has hundreds of retail clients.
