Looking for a job?

The list of technology-focused firms that are growing and hiring in the Triangle is growing, says Chris Dale, regional vice president of talent management firm Select Group. Dale offers enticing details in an exclusive interview with WRALTechWire Editor Rick Smith.

Despite a new report out this week from the North Carolina technology Association that shows the daily average of advertised jobs has declined for five consecutive months, Dale says those numbers are deceiving.

Also, a recent Robert Half Technology survey said not a lot of chief information officers are looking to grow their staffs.

Plus, a survey from Duke University and CFO Magazine just this week said the Affordable care Act is forcing many companies to rethink hiring plans entering 2014.

However, Dale says Select Group continues to get “orders” from companies such as Cisco for jobs being added in the Triangle as well as in Charlotte and the Triad.

AIG just this week, for example, also announced plans to build a technology center in the Queen City and create a couple of jobs.

Watch what Dale has to saw in the interview.

Some of the companies that are hiring might come as a surprise.

The interview is the second in a series of three with Dale. These interviews are the first in a new series being launched by WRALTechWire that will focus on jobs, jobs, jobs.
