Here’s the methodology used:
“The list takes into consideration the sum of weighted ranks, which includes the company valuation, net revenue, users/customers, and company age. In order to qualify for consideration on the list, companies must be private and venture‐backed, valued at less than $1 billion at some point within the last 12 months, and have received financing in the past two years.”
