UNC-Chapel Hill’s online Masters in Business Administration program ties for first place and North Carolina State places ninth in new rankings just out from US News & World Report.
UNC’s Kenan-Flagler school tied for the top spot with Indiana University and Temple University.
A 100 perfect score for student engagement helped lift UNC to the top ranking share. UNC also received a 73 for faculty credentials, a 58 for training student services and 75 for admissions selectivity.
“We created MBA@UNC to provide access to a world-class program for people for whom coming to campus isn’t a viable option,” said Douglas Shackelford, dean of UNC Kenan-Flagler and the first associate dean of MBA@UNC. “It is a new model of online education based on UNC’s tradition of excellence, innovation and access.”
NCSU’s Jenkins program received an 82 for faculty credentials, 71 for training student services, 88 for student engagement and 71 for admissions selectivity.
“Our vision for the Jenkins MBA programs includes distinguished leadership in technology and innovation,” said Ira Weiss, dean and Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Chair at the Poole College of Management.
“We are excited for the recognition this new ranking provides to our Professional Online MBA program and our mission to educate talented professionals through our hands-on, practical approach to MBA education coupled with our focus on innovation and technology,” he said.
