Cary-based MercuryGate has a new president and chief operating officer as well as a business group focusing on innovation to be led by one of its co-founders.
MercuryGate, a provider of transportation management system solutions, named LexisNexis executive Mike Lipps to the new post.
Lipps isn’t moving far. He had been CEO and managing director of the LexisNexis Legal Software Division based at N.C. State’s Centennial Campus.Earlier in his career he worked at Intuit.
Steve Blough, a co-founder of MerCuryGate, will lead the newly formed innovation group , its “end goal” being “to serve as a catalyst for the company to quickly transform its business models, processes and programs, and user experience.”
The changes were announced Tuesday.
