Durham-based Eco-Site, a builder of wireless towers and related infrastructure, has $20 million in new investment capital to fund further growth.

Providing the latest cash is Atlanta-based MSouth Equity Partners, which earlier had invested $80 million in the company. The last $20 million of that total was drawn in February.

Guggenheim Partners provided $50 million to Eco-Site earlier this year.

Eco-Site, which landed the “Fastest Growing Startup Award” from WRAL TechWire in March, launched in 2012.

The company says growing “carrier demand” is leading to the need for additional wireless infrastructure.

“The wireless infrastructure industry, and especially Eco-Site, is experiencing exceptional growth,” said Dale Carey, CEO of Eco-Site. “The pace of our expansion is indicative of our continued momentum, due in large part to the strength of our model and the abilities of our team.”

Eco-Site constructs, owns and operates wireless towers and infrastructure sites.
