Red Hat (NYSE: RHT) calls Raleigh home – and it’s looking to partner with Triangle area companies as well as software developers.
The Council for Entrepreneurial Development is partnering with Red Hat for a tech forum in Raleigh at which the company will discuss how Triangle area firms can work with the world’s top Linux software developer and solutions provider.
The CED Tech Forum, titled “Red Hat, Raleigh, and Open Source: Accessing a Global Community,” is set for Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
DeLisa Alexander, executive vice president and chief people officer, Michael Ferris, director of business architecture, and Burr Sutter, senior project manager for Red Hat’s Middleware business, will be presenting.
Red Hat also will demonstrate its newest “cloud” and mobile solutions.
“Our commitment to downtown Raleigh reflects our desire to engage with the business and technical community in the Triangle,” said Alexander. “We are very interested in building long-term relationships with local developers, and look forward to the CED Tech Forum as a way to support innovation.”
Working with the CED to put on the event are the North Carolina Technology Association, Triangle Technology Executives Council and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance.
The event is free, but registration is required.
