DURHAM, N.C. – Shoeboxed is planning to relocate and expand its operations to both American Tobacco Campus and the American Underground, the company said on Thursday.

The management and development teams of the more than 50-person staff will anchor the recently announced @Main expansion with approximately 2,000-square-feet.

The company’s processing and operations team, staffed partially by a partnership with UNC’s TEACCH Autism Program, will move into approximately 4,300-square-feet of space in American Tobacco’s Diamond View I.

“Shoeboxed will bring a high energy, work hard/play hard team to American Tobacco and American Underground,” says Anjana Mohanty, vice president at Shoeboxed. “We’re ready to mix, mingle and continue to propel Durham towards the nationally recognized startup hub we’ve worked so hard to establish over the past five years.”

Recently, both Diamond View I and the American Underground @Main received makeovers and expansions to promote shared world-class amenities that make them some of the most sought after spaces in the market for tech companies.

“Shoeboxed is one of the companies that inspired and encouraged the creation of the American Underground,” says Adam Klein, chief strategist, American Underground. “Having Shoeboxed expand and relocate to American Tobacco and American Underground not only validates the Underground but our entire ecosystem.”

Shoeboxed will complete the relocation by February.
