SAS, one of the world’s largest analytics software and services firms, is going to offer two programming courses at 14 U.S. military locations free of charge and provide vouchers to take SAS Certification exams free of charge as part of a new partnership.

SAS said Wednesday it is partnering with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families as an effort to help veterans find jobs after leaving the military. The foundation offers a career skills program to nearly 200,000 vets a year for civilian career training, job placement and more.

The company also notes that demand continues to grow for workers with training in data and analytics.

The program begins in January.

“The importance of the SAS relationship cannot be overstated,” said Dr. Mike Haynie, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation and Executive Director of the IVMF, in the announcement. “Providing veterans and their families with in-demand training is key to creating meaningful careers as service members transition. We are proud to partner with SAS, and I applaud their leadership for engaging in this meaningful work. We look forward to a rewarding and impactful partnership.”
