Look for a job or check out the possibilities for the Internet of Things – a tough choice Tuesday evening.

More than 80 open jobs will be available at the Big Top Reverse Job Fair in Durham. Meanwhile, advocates for the emerging Internet of Things will gather in Raleigh.

Here’s a look at each:

  • Big Top

Chris Heivly, co-founder of The Startup Accelerator in Durham, is putting on the seventh Big Top Reverse Job Fair. Six companies are looking for workers with at least 80 open spots.

“This is not a cattle-call typical job fair. The companies will pitch YOU and why you should come work for them,” Heivly points out. “All in an informal and fun, circus-themed event. You heard that right. Acrobats, hot dogs, popcorn, beer and soda.”

Companies looking to hire include: Automated Insights, Windsor Circle, Sageworks, Netsertive, Bandwidth and Ansible.

Jobs are available for software development, sales, marketing, project managers, product managers, and designers.

  • Raleigh Internet of Things

The RIoT is on again in Raleigh – as in the Raleigh Internet of Things meetup.

StepLeader Digital and the Wireless Research Center of North Carolina are putting on the discussion at HQ Raleigh.

Action begins at 6 p.m.

As RIoT backers note, the Triangle is “quickly becoming the center of the new Internet of Things (IoT) community.” This is the second RIoT.

The event is free for developers and IoT enthusiasts.
