Ziptronix, a spinoff from RTI International, has signed another patent licensing agreement, this time with semiconductor technology company Novati Technologies.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Last summer, Ziptronix signed a licensing deal for a cellphone application.
Among Ziptronix recent customers is Sony, which licensed its technology for use in digital cameras.
Ziptronix is focused on three-dimensional integration technology and other applications for semiconductors. RTI, Grotech Capital and Alliance Technology Ventures are among investors in the firm. The company has raised some $35 million in financing.
Novati said it will utilize Ziptronix technology for semiconductor 3D stacking as well as testing and related services.
