I beg to disagree.
For those of us who actually do real work on our computers the WinTell PC isn't going anywhere. Tablets and smartphones are all very nice but they don't have real keyboards, the screens are small and security is iffy.
For bang for the buck in a work environment you can't beat a desktop PC. They are cheap, reliable, and if necessary easy to fix or upgrade.
I can open up most any desktop in a few seconds, it's very difficult to open up an iPad without destroying it (which is what Apple intended).
