RALEIGH, N.C. – Steve Carnevale is the new Chief Operating Officer for StepLeader, the firm announced on Monday.

Carnevale brings more than 27 years of experience in financial management, business analysis, strategic planning and operational controls to the Raleigh firm.

No stranger to life at a startup and venture-backed companies, Steve served as CFO for five years at Geomagic, a venture backed 3D software company, sold to 3D Systems in February 2013. He rounds out his experience from other high-tech industries including software, semiconductors, consumer products, and home networking.

“I am thrilled with such a fantastic addition to our team,” said StepLeader CEO Brian Handly. “In addition to Steve’s strong leadership capabilities, he brings a wealth of experience in technology, fundraising, mergers and acquisition, and making businesses run better, faster, smarter.”

His career began in public accounting after graduating from Northeastern University with a BS in Business Administration and later earned his MBA from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
