Data center operator Peak 10 has named Joe Deney to be the company’s senior vice president, customer operations where he will be responsible for a number of initiatives to support the company’s growing customer base.

Deney comes to the Charlotte-based company from CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA), where he was senior vice president for services, alliances and consulting services. Peak 10 says Deney was a key player in product and service acquisitions for CA Technologies as well as creating its Managed Services and Consulting Practice.

Before working at CA Technologies, Deney held management positions at Savvis, an Infrastructure-as-a-Service data center and cloud service provider. During his tenure, he also managed all 24 Savvis North American data centers. Deney has also worked as CIO of McDonnell Douglas, now part of Boeing, and led consulting services at technology companies such as Oracle and Compaq, now part of Hewlett-Packard.

Deney earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and his MBA in Finance from Southern Illinois University. He will be based out of Peak 10’s Charlotte headquarters.
