RALEIGH, N.C. and PORTOLA, Calif. – NeoNova is pushing out west.

The Raleigh-based managed cloud services provider announced on Wednesday that Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative in California has selected NeoNova for the co-op’s satellite and wireless broadband services.

Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative is located about an hour northwest of Reno, Nev., and provides electric utility services for more than 6,600 residents. The co-op’s subsidiary, Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications, offers ViaSat satellite broadband, wireless broadband and fiber broadband services to approximately 2,500 subscribers and businesses.

Those who subscribe to any of the broadband services offered by PSREC will now access their email via the email client of their choice, or they may access email through the Pronto! Web interface or NeoNova’s proprietary App Portal.

On the back-office side of the business, PSREC employees will now use the Google Apps for Business™ suite of communication tools for email and collaboration. PSREC has also subscribed to NovaAdmin for integrated subscriber management, and NeoNova will provide IP management for the co-op. Employees as well as broadband subscribers will receive 24x7x365 support through NovaDesk, NeoNova’s hybrid help desk solution.

“Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative is driving a progressive broadband service with its Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications satellite, wireless and fiber broadband products,” said Chris Benyo, vice president of sales and marketing, NeoNova. “Our products and services are the perfect complement to their ever-expanding footprint and subscriber base and help ensure their customers’ satisfaction.”

As a full-service technology arm for the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), NeoNova enables rural ISPs and small-to medium-sized businesses to focus on what they do best: taking care of their customers and breaking the “digital divide” between rural and urban markets.
