The NC Tech Awards is North Carolina’s statewide program recognizing and honoring the best innovators and innovations. NCTA has announced this year’s Top 10 Startups to Watch.

In addition to its traditional technology corporate awards, the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) is recognizing this group of emerging companies who provide a disruptive or innovative technology and are based in North Carolina.

Dozens of companies were nominated and an independent selection committee has named the following winners:

Adwerx (Durham) – adwerx.com

Adwerx revolutionizes localized online advertising for real estate. With a focus on retargeting, Adwerx is committed to helping agents get the tools and know-how they need to stay top-of-mind in their local markets. Any agent can use this powerful tool to drive awareness.

Core Compete (Durham) – corecompete.com

Core Compete is a rapidly growing and bringing jobs to the area by focusing on some of the hottest technology markets of Big Data and Cloud Computing. It have a senior leadership team consisting of individuals with former executive roles at SAS, RedHat, Ciena Systems, Delhaize and Oracle. We are poised for big things.

Ecomdash (Charlotte) – ecomdash.com

Ecomdash is a web-based software application designed to help ecommerce sellers automate and integrate operations across multiple storefronts and marketplaces from a central dashboard. The tool gives online retailers the ability to save time, grow sales and increase customer satisfaction by automating time-consuming inventory, sales, supply chain and shipping processes.

Koolbridge Solar (Wilmington) – koolbridgesolar.com

Koolbridge Solar Inc. designs and develops products that allows solar energy to be integrated into homes more efficiently and economically by reducing energy bills, and providing greater supply reliability. These products provide a complete communications solution chain from the utility, to smart grid, to smart home to smart appliance.

Pendo (Raleigh) – pendo.io

Pendo is a data driven platform for product engagement that enables companies to improve on boarding, understand product usage and help retain customers. Pendo combines enterprise guidance and user insights to enable product teams to understand and influence their customer’s experience. Pendo installs in minutes with no coding required.

Predictify.me (Raleigh) – predictify.me

PredictifyMe uses internal and open data sources to create simulation environments. We allow executives in healthcare, education, insurance and retail to model outcomes for better decision making.

Reveal Mobile (Raleigh) – revealmobile.com

Reveal Mobile’s audience platform provides app publishers everywhere with rich mobile audience data to improve product and advertising performance. Surgilum designs and develops innovative ophthalmic devices. It is our goal to bring products to market that yield better outcomes for patients and maximize a doctor’s efficiency.
