26 emerging startups from across North Carolina are semifinalists for the latest round of grants from economic development group NC IDEA.
The winners will receive as much as $50,000 in non-dilutive grants.
The semifinalists were selected from 145 applicants.
They include:

- iScribes – Durham, NC
- KWIPPED – Wilmington, NC
- LinkUs – Wilmington, NC
- Luxury Shoe Club – Cary, NC
- MeTree Co. – Durham, NC
- Mindset Systems – Raleigh, NC
- Nicotrax – Raleigh, NC
- Reportory – Winston-Salem, NC
- Rx Maker – Durham, NC
- SeaChange Technologies – Raleigh, NC
- SoftJoint – Apex, NC
- The Torch – Charlotte, NC
- Trinket – Durham, NC

The next stage of the process includes a more detailed business plan to be submitted by the middle of April.
Finalists will be selected for in-person presentations to a review panel.
Winners will be announced in June.
NC IDEA has awarded some $3.7 million in grants to 93 companies since the program’s launch in 2006.
