NC IDEA will launch its next round of awarding up to $50,000 in non-dilutive grants to startups on Feb. 15. Entrepreneurs can learn more about the program at a series of state-wide meetings.

This is the 21st round of grants dating back more than a decade.

The information sessions, which will be offered in person at three locations and via webinars, are scheduled as followed: 

  • Tuesday, February 16th – NC IDEA Spring 2016 CHARLOTTE Info Session hosted by Packard Place
  • Wednesday, February 17th – NC IDEA Spring 2016 Info Session **via WEBINAR**
  • Friday, February 19th – NC IDEA Spring 2016 TRIAD Info Session hosted with Flywheel Coworking
  • Monday, February 22nd – NC IDEA Spring 2016 WILMINGTON Info Session hosted by UNCW CIE

Startups focusing on software, information technology, medical devices or material sciences and are based in North Carolina or looking to locate in the state are eligible to apply.

Two deadlines are set for submitting applications: Feb. 26 and March 11.

“Due to the competitive nature of the screening process, applicants are strongly encouraged to apply by the first deadline, giving them the benefit of an extended review period and the potential opportunity to be selected to advance to the proposal round under early decision,” NC IDEA said.
