Life science companies looking to hire in North Carolina and individuals seeking employment have a new resource to use: the N.C. Life Sciences Talent Community.

The website is a collaboration between the N.C. Biotechnology Center and Raleigh-based Beaker, which has developed a talent recruitment platform for use by life science companies.

Beaker is based in Raleigh.

The joint effort was announced Wednesday at the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s annual conference in Chicago. The service is free.

North Carolina has one of the largest biotechnology and life science industry hubs in the country, and the site is designed to help match job openings with candidates. Members will be informed about jobs and planned work force expansions.

“Every year at the North Carolina Pavilion, people ask us how they can work in North Carolina,” said Robin Deacle, NCBiotech’s vice president of corporate communications, in a statement.

“This new community will link current and future North Carolina professionals to the most recent information on the life sciences in North Carolina.”

People can register at www.beaker.com/talent.

“Beaker works with many of the leading employees across the life sciences industry using talent communities to drive their candidate recruitment and key talent initiatives,” said Jeffrey Clark, Baker’s chief executive officer. “In this instance we partnered with North Carolina to bring together those professionals currently working in or those with an ambition to work in the North Carolina life sciences industry.”

Beaker provides life sciences professionals “free access to multimedia content and a direct connection to the leading employers across the industry.”

Corporate customers receive a combination of strategic and targeted recruitment services.

The company has recruited a team of veteran recruiters and researchers.
