ASHEVILLE — Innovative Solar Systems, (ISS) one of the biggest developers of solar farms in the U.S., with three of the largest under construction in eastern North Carolina, is in talks with many U.S. investment groups, energy funds, capital partners, and foreign entities about a possible merger.

The company says a merger would help it expand to more states, markets and countries.

ISS currently has over twelve (12) large scale solar farm projects ready for construction totaling almost 400MW’s and another pipeline of 2GW’s of projects to be Shovel Ready by the first quarter of 2016. Most of the projects being developed by ISS are ground mounted PV Solar Farms that range in size from 5MW to 80MW with current projects being offered in the Southern and Mid-West United States.

Those large projects include one (1) 75 Megawatt project, (2) 80 Megawatt projects, several 50 MW, 35MW and many 2MW and 5MW deals in N.C. ISS has closed over 800 Megawatts of solar farm projects in N.C. alone and is currently developing utility scale size projects in 12 other states as the company rapidly expands. “Developing World Class solar farm projects is what we do”, states ISS CEO John E. Green.
