Medical device supplier MYCO Medical has won a dual-source contract that will see its blades, non-safety scalpels and blade removal devices provided to health care supply chain company Novation for the next three years.

Cary-based MYCO also said it was awarded an exclusive contract for Novaplus, Novation’s private-label brand. Under that deal, MYCO will supply safety scalpels.

No financial terms of the deals were disclosed. But the three year deal with two one-year options will have supply Novation’s more than 65,000 member organizations and affiliates.

MYCO, founded in 1993 by President and CEO Sam Kumar, is a supplier of a range of disposable and reusable surgical devices, which are distributed through a network of regional and national distributors.

“MYCO is committed to bringing reliability, innovation and value to the health care industry, and the Novation and Novaplus contract wins are a testament to our ability to provide high-quality, affordable medical devices,” Kumar said in a statement.
