I'll ask the same thing here that I asked in the article on The Pilot's website, but what about Moore County does this group expect to attract entrepreneurial-minded individuals? As a 31 year-old residing in Carthage, it's an area with far less amenities than Raleigh/Durham and the rural environment is just overall less convenient. I appreciate the effort, but with Raleigh being only an hour away, I can't see myself starting a tech-based business here when a much more vibrant population is so close. And not that I don't have the utmost respect for SCC, but there is no regular four-year university within an hour's drive with which to tap into the creative power of currently or soon-to-be-graduated college students.
