Web technology firm MaxPoint, which is moving into new office space, drug company BioDelivery Services and email marketing services firm Bronto make list of private and public companies based on strong revenue growth.

MaxPoint’s office move in Morrisville reflects the company’s remarkable revenue growth.

The privately held company’s sales have jumped nearly 32,000 percent from 2008, according to Deloitte. That increase was good for ninth on the Deloitte list and second best among Internet companies.

MaxPoint utilizes what it calls “Digital Zip” technology to help advertisers target advertising and promotion down to neighborhood levels.

Said Joe Epperson, chief executive officer of MaxPoint. “The ranking is confirmation of what we already know – that we’re growing quickly because we are addressing the core needs of our customers in an increasingly complex advertising environment. We will continue to help the nation’s top advertisers use their data to drive in-stores sales through innovative hyperlocal digital advertising solutions.”

BDSI (Nasdaq: BDSI), which focuses on relieving intense pain through proprietary drug delivery technology, came in 10th at nearly 21,000 percent growth. BDSI is based in Raleigh.

Bronto ranked No. 270 with revenue growth of 331 percent. Bronto is based in Durham.

Earlier this year, Bronto cracked the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing privately held firms with revenues of $21.6 million and 228 percent growth since 2010.

The Deloitte list includes both private and publicly held companies.

In order to be selected to the list, Deloitte says companies must own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company’s operating revenues. Firms also must have base-year (2008) operating revenues of at least $50,000 and current-year (2012) operating revenues of at least $5 million. Plus, firms  must be in business for a minimum of five years, and be headquartered within North America.
