Durham startup Windsor Circle, which focuses on market retention software, is gearing up for expansion of its products and services as well as its staff after raising nearly $1.1 million in new financing.

Triangle Angel Partners, IDEA Fund Partners and angel investor Bruce Boehm provide funding for Windsor Circle’s Series A funding.

The funding includes $685,000 plus a convertible note of $405,000.

Windsor Circle has immediate plans to hire three more staff – a vice president of marketing, a marketing associate and a client success associate. The firm currently has nine employees. It launched in late 2011.

“Closing a Series A in excess of $1 Million in funding during the holiday season is a timely milestone for a company building the world’s first retention marketing platform for retailers,” said Matt Williamson, the firm’s chief executive officer and a co-founder.

Triangle Angel Partners is a recently launched fund backed by a group of angel investors. The investment is its second. It also was a backer of EvoApp.

IDEA Fund Partners is the commercial venture capital firm that is associated with NC IDEA, an economic development group.
