The bigger question is why would you tie yourself to an e-mail service provided by your ISP and is bound to them? If you use Hotmail, Google, etc you can change ISP's and not have to change your e-mail address.....
Per your article "an email was issued to explain the outage". Great, the 10% facing a disruption of email service will surely be pleased to receive that timely email at some time in the infinite future. How moronic can some "people" (ie. corporations) be? Does anyone think before they speak nowadays?
