Lenovo, the world’s No. 2 PC manufacturer, has selected the agency Digitas to handle its North American media planning and buying.

According to AdWeek, Lenovo chose Digitas over Deutsch and Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners.

The account had been handled previously by Neo@Ogilvy.

“As we continue to grow our share and relevance in a highly competitive industry, we need an agency to help us break through to our target audience,” said David Rabin, Lenovo’s executive director of marketing for North America, according to AdWeek. “Digitas has proven experience creating powerful brand-consumer relationships, building media platforms with a global reach, and providing a central focus on digital marketing.”

Lenovo’s global agency is Saatchi & Saatchi.

Lenovo operates its executive headquarters in Morrisville.
