“K” and Hollywood must have special meaning to Lenovo.

Even if you find “Two and a Half Men” a less-than-tasteful TV comedy, the star power of its leading man Ashton Kutcher can’t be denied. So Lenovo, seeking to increase its global panache, is reportedly on the verge of signing a $10 million promotional deal with the guy who will portray the late Steve Jobs in a forthcoming movie.

Bloomberg TV and the Page Six column of the New York Post have both reported the Lenovo-Kutcher deal.

As Kutcher continues through his divorce of Demi Moore and a reported parting of the ways with Nikon as a camera pitchman and play-acts Jobs on screen, Lenovo continues to search for big-name talent to turn its corporate name into another, well, Apple.

Lenovo already has locked up NBA star Kobe Bryant of the Lakers to pitch its K-brand smartphones.

So now Lenovo may have two special Ks on its marketing program as it seeks to widen its hold on the No. 1 global PC seller and an increasing powerful presence in smartphone and tablet sales.

Kutcher is TV’s highest-paid actor at about $24 million a year for the Two and a Half Men” gig, reports the Post.

He also is an investor, involved in a venture capital fund.

So if Lenovo does in fact sign Kutcher, maybe the company can convince him to meet with Triangle startups should he visit its Morrisville executive headquarters.
