Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing fell off the 2016 Forbes billionaires list published last Tuesday, along with more than 40 other individuals from China as economic growth in the country stalled.

Lenovo shares trading on the Hong Kong exchange lost 40 percent of their value in the last year due to serious competition in the smart phone market.

Lenovo revenue fell 8 percent to $12 .9 billion, and smart phone shipments declined by 18% in the three months to December.

Yang and 41 other individuals from China dropped off the billionaires list due to slower economic growth, huge drops in stock prices, and lower oil prices, Forbes said.
