Technology services vendor ePlus is expanding in North Carolina with a new facility planned for Morrisville.

The new facility, Herndon, Va.-based ePlus’ third Managed Services operations center, is expected to bring up to 50 new jobs, according to the announcement from the North Carolina Department of Commerce. The Commerce Department listed no state or local incentives tied to the expansion.

EPlus helps organizations to optimize their IT infrastructure and supply chain processes. The company’s Managed Services division helps enterprises control their IT infrastructure and off-load much of the day-to-day IT tasks so they can focus on business. At 12,000 square feet, the new Morrisville operations center will be ePlus’ largest of its three such centers.

Founded in 1990, ePlus has more than 900 workers serving federal, state, municipal and commercial customers nationally. The new Morrisville operations center will join ePlus offices already in place in Morrisville, Charlotte and Wilmington.

“Raleigh is a strategic location for ePlus and holds a tremendous pool of technical talent in the Research Triangle Park area from which we can grow our staff and broaden our service offering,” Dan Farrell, senior vice president of national services for ePlus Technology, said in a statement. “In addition, the new Managed Services Center has close proximity to many of our key partners, including Cisco and NetApp, which will enable us to expand our service capabilities to joint customers.”
