Go Energies, a software and hardware startup focused on services related to the fuel industry, ranks No. 10 on the new Inc. 5000 list.

That performance – 16,007 percent revenue growth over three years, also makes the company the No. 1 North Carolina firm on the list.

According to Inc., Go Energies “provides software and hardware that helps its fuel industry customers manage fuel buying, fleet cards, tank sales, and site management.”

Go Energies has developed what it calls EKOS, or “energy knowledge operating system.”

“Our mission is clear— we strive to provide retail caliber tools to customers in the fuel industry, through technology, experience and education. Constantly updating and refining our software, keeps us above the curve and extends complete transparency of the fuel industry to individual business needs when they need it,” the company says at its website.

“We deliver knowledge and power, elevating our customers to a professional level of fuel buying. Pioneering fuel management software is our passion. Combining fuel buying & site management tools, fleet cards and tank sales, we provide end-users with the software and hardware to truly cover all spectrums of the industry.”

The company, which is based in Wilmington, launched in 2009. 

Revenues soared to $32.8 million in 2013 compared to $203,962 three-years earlier.

Inc. rates Go Energies as the No. 2 performer in the Energy Companies category.
