In response to many “me too” emails received after we published 8 Startups Hiring in the Triangle earlier this month, here’s a follow up. Thirteen additional companies are hiring one, if not many, staffers in a whole range of fields.

- AdWerx
AdWerx recently spun out of ReverbNation, but the Durham startup has nothing to do with music or entertainment. AdWerx makes it incredibly easy for real estate agents to advertise themselves online, and to the exact audience they hope to reach. Growth is happening incredibly quick, so the startup has several developer and product management related positions available, as well as internships.
- CloudFactory
CloudFactory recently closed a round of funding to expand its team of cloudworkers in Nepal and Kathmandu and perform more cloud-based tasks for Fortune 500 and startup customers. Helping to bring on those clients will a new account manager and sales rep based at the Durham headquarters.
- Guidebook
The Palo Alto startup Guidebook that makes mobile guides for events and venues is building up its team in Raleigh. Jobs are open at Guidebook in customer relations and account management (and if you have a hankering to live in Europe, check out the London positions).
- iScribes
iScribes is looking for a pretty specialized skill set for its virtual medical scribe position. This person must know enough about medicine to transcribe recordings of doctor’s visits. Here’s that position, and check back frequently as the Durham software company adds clients for its software and service that records and transcribes doctor’s visits and integrates with electronic medical records.
- Keona Health
Keona Health of Chapel Hill is expanding its customer base of physicians and call centers using its patent-pending software to help manage, streamline and reduce triage calls. After raising $2 million last year from a strategic investor, the company is also adding to its team. Keona needs a developer with three or more years of development and healthcare experience.
- Lea(R)n
Lea(R)n just wrapped up a pitch on the national stage at South by Southwest’s LAUNCHedu competition, its most recent of several national EdTech industry accolades. Now, it’s in the market for a user interface designer with product and brand marketing experience.
- Move Loot
San Francisco-based Move Loot is ramping up its Durham office to expand its used furniture online marketplace to cities throughout the Southeast. Jobs available include an engineering director, logistics associate and customer support associate. There’s also a marketing and business development position open in Charlotte.
- Pendo
Fresh off its latest funds-raise, Raleigh-based Pendo is ready to sell customers on its software that helps developers prioritize and test application features. A corporate sales representative will be charged with the task and work alongside the experienced Pendo team of developers and executives.
- Photofy
Photofy continues to grow its team after raising $1 million last year, launching a new and improved version of the photo editing platform and opening new digs in downtown Raleigh. Jobs open today include a customer care specialist and graphic designer.
- Shoeboxed
Also in new and larger office spaces, at American Underground @Main and American Tobacco, is Shoeboxed, the company whose app helps us digitize, collect and organize business receipts and expenses. Now with more than a million accounts in 100 countries around the world, the Durham company is in need of several developers, an Agile coach, API evangelist and a customer support intern.
- Smart Office Energy Solutions
As Smart Office Energy Solutions ramps up its technology and services that help make offices more energy efficient, it needs a marketing manager to help spread the word. The company recently moved to the Triangle from Houston.
- Spreedly
Spreedly makes it easy for online retailers to seamlessly accept credit card payments from multiple gateways—including Apple Pay, PayPal, Stripe and dozens of others in 98 countries—and without requiring customers to leave the retailers’ sites to make a payment. Two more software engineers are needed to help the Durham startup continue its fast growth.
- Windsor Circle
Windsor Circle continues to take over the first floor of American Underground @Main as it adds e-commerce customers of its email marketing automation software and staff to service them. The staff total surpasses 50 this week, according to a story last week in the Triangle Business Journal, and nearly 20 positions (including several internships) are still open. Jobs range from accounting manager to graphic design to recruiting manager to software engineering to sales.
