Editor’s note: So, what’s the Internet Summit really like? Kendra Stowe, who works as the Digital Content Marketer for a magazine in Raleigh and is part-time social media-er for The Point, offers her analysis.

RALEIGH, N.C. – Things I learned this week:

  • Being able to schedule tweets and Facebook posts does NOT give you the credibility to call yourself a digital marketer. Stop BS-ing yourself.
  • David Shing has the craziest hair I’ve ever seen. For real.

For the past two days, I attended the Internet Summit at the Raleigh Convention Center. I learned a lot, but mostly the fact that there are a lot of really smart individuals in the digital media world, and I am not one of them (drowning over here with my WordPress blog).

Ok but seriously, it was totally worth the money spent (shout out to my 9 – 5 for sending me), and I learned a lot of valuable information that I’m going to attempt to regurgitate back to you. In between, I’ll tell you about my personal experience with the conference, considering I went alone.
