  • Scribbles, based in Rockwell, lands $800,000

A North Carolina-based computer software company has raised $800,000 from investors in a private stock offering, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Scribbles Software LLC filed a Form D with the SEC on Sept. 21 and noted the offering is being made “in connection with the Issuer becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of another company.”

“Membership interests” were issued by the Issuer in exchange for a cancellation of debt, Scribbles added.

The filing listed a total offering amount of $800,000, with no amount remaining to be sold as of Sept. 21.

Scribbles is a registered limited-liability company in North Carolina, and it’s been active in the state for six years. The “agent” on file for Scribbles’ Rockwell, North Carolina-based address is Paul Blake, a founding member of the company.
