Frontier Communications, which offers telecommunications and high-speed Internet services across parts of the Triangle, is rolling out its Vantage TV, touting it as a “competitive option” to existing cable and satellite services.

Vantage TV by Frontier is initially available to some 75,000 households in the Triangle region. (See map included with this post.)

The service is available over Frontier’s fiber-to-the-home network and other parts of its network at speeds up to one gigabit per second.

“Vantage TV leverages Frontier’s years of experience at delivering video service over both copper and fiber networks, while utilizing the very latest technology advances to deliver incredible picture quality and features to our North Carolina customers,” said Frontier’s Dennis Bloss, vice president for video market deployment. (Bloss most recently served as Frontier’s top executive for North Carolina.)
