Nicely written. I've seen these teaser behaviors more and more recently. I have to watch closely for "sponsored content" tags and recognize that any news site that wants to tell me something by presenting material, in effect, slide form (click for the next page) isn't worth the bother. Granted, any print media could do the same thing (i'm not a fan of the page jumps either), but if they were smart they would quickly differentiate themselves as "we're the media that doesn't do that web stuff you hate". And they'd hire someone from marketing to make that sound better.
