Parata Systems, a manufacturer of robotic drug dispensing systems in Durham, is downsizing two facilities and laying off 110 workers, or more than 40 percent of its Triangle work force.

The company employs some 260 people in the Triangle, according to The Triangle Business Journal.

Parata filed a layoff notice with the State of North Carolina last week.

Workers were scheduled to be told on Dec. 5.

The layoffs are to be completed over the next 90 days, the company said.

Parata cited no reason for the downsizing.
