HICKORY, N.C. – CommScope, a provider of cabling and other network infrastructure solutions and products, has acquired Canada-based LiquidxStream Systems.

The company is focused on advanced video delivery technology called QAM, or quadrature amplitude modulation.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

“This acquisition is part of CommScope’s strategy to continue to expand our broadband product offerings to deliver complete solutions for our multi-system operator (MSO) customers,” said Ric Johnsen, senior vice president of broadband for CommScope.
