Skillpop, a year-old startup in Charlotte that offers a variety of “pop-up” classes to teach a variety of skills, is expanding to the Triangle.

“Our whole mission is making in-person learning accessible,” founder Haley Bohon told website CharlotteAgenda. “It shouldn’t just be accessible in Charlotte.”

Bohon attended NC State.

CharlotteAgenda’s Andrew Dunn says SkillPop “has been one of Charlotte’s hottest startups since launching last September.”

Classes cost around $30 and cover a variety of topics.

SkillPop has already set up a Raleigh website and plans to offer classes in the Triangle this fall. It’s also recruiting teachers.
