We are making strides but the eco-system isn't quite there or certainly not flourishing. We don't have many funding options for early stage companies and we don't see many alumni of past successes in numbers to serve as mentors/advisors. We don't have a tremendous amount of alumni moving from large companies to create newcos. We do have a can-do attitude in Charlotte which is vital, but we need all elements of the eco-system working, which we don't have yet. We are working hard to create success with our new social ecommerce site Flash Purchase and our medtech portfolio at MedTech Catalyst.
