The second Paradoxos Festival in Durham will include a “BIG Ten Talent Show” if the Council for Entrepreneurial Development can find entrepreneurs willing to risk ridicule while generating some laughs.

NC IDEA and The Startup Factory are also pitching in to put on the “show.”

Are you game?

“We are scouting for talent!

“Win cash prizes for you or your team!”

So promises the CED in a blog post.

“Are you an entrepreneur?

“Do you have hidden talents?

“Need a break from the everyday pressures of building a startup?

“We are looking for the top 10 craziest, fun, and entertaining local entrepreneurs (or teams) to join us for  ’The BIG Tent Talent Show’ at Durham’s Paradoxos Festival on April 10, 2014 from 2:30 to 5 p.m.”

This is the second Paradoxos Festival which WRALTechWire previewed in depth on Monday.

Part of the event is a “Jobs Under the Big Top” put on by Chris Heivly, co-partner in The Startup Factory accelerator. And a real big top will be used for that event.

CED is capitalizing on the tent, too, which will serve as the hub of Paradoxos, which runs April 10-11.

“On Thursday afternoon, we will host a series of fun events to celebrate the areas startup founders and all of their hard work. Padded Sumo wrestling, an Investor Dunk Tank and to cap off the program, a Talent Show with huge cash prizes will leave everyone smiling,” CED promises.

The “talent show” will included selected five-minute performances on a stage.

Cash prizes will go to the top three finishers.

Deadline to apply is April 2.
