Richard West, the new chair of the board for the Council of Entrepreneurial Development, will be joined by a host of new board members as the CED sets its leadership for 2016-17.

One of its first tasks will be finding a new CEO.

Joan Siefert Rose, the CED’s leader for the past eight years, announced her plans to step down at the end of the year.

West, who is the CEO of Baebies, Inc., succeeds David Spitz, CEO of ChannelAdvisor, who served as board chair for the past two years.

“I want to thank David Spitz for his leadership and express my appreciation to those Board members who are completing their terms for their time and effort. I’m impressed with the talent and experience of the incoming Board and expect we will be able to build upon the momentum and success of the past few years,” West said in a statement.
