CED has finalized its roster of demo companies and speakers for its 29th annual Tech Venture Conference scheduled for Sept. 17 and 18 at the Raleigh Convention Center.

Bob Dorf, author of “Startup Owner’s Manual,” will deliver the conference’s opening keynote. Also scheduled to speak are the CEOs from ZipCar, SecureWorks, Veracode, SciQuest and Bandwidth. The closing keynote will be a fireside chat with Pete Bell, founder of Endeca, a company that was acquired by Oracle for more than $1 billion.

A total of 55 demo companies, each with an exhibit table and stage time to pitch their technologies, will be represented at the conference across a range of sectors. This year’s conference runs in tandem with the Angel Capital Association’s Southeast regional meeting, which is expected to expand the number of investors attending the event. CED expects this year’s conference will approach 700 attendees.
