Funding, the role of venture capital and the impact on entrepreneurs and investors will be addressed at Council for Entrepreneurial Development’s annual meeting.

Besides discussing updates from 2013 and plans for 2014, the Jan. 30 meeting will feature a panel discussing the state of the capital markets.

Scheduled speakers include Mary Dent, co-founder of dclQ and former general counsel of Silicon Valley Bank; Dan Keoppl, executive director of Verizon Ventures; and David Zilberman, venture partner of Comcast Ventures.

The meeting will be held at offices of Durham company Bronto Software, 324 Blackwell St., Suite 410.
